Crosspaw has a round face, like a kitten's, which could lead to her being mistaken for a small kit. The fur on her head is light brown, with darker brown stripes. Her cheek fur actually points out, like a cartoon cats' would. Her nose is black, and blends in with her fur. Her ears are pointed, like most cats, and the tips are also striped. Her left ear is torn slightly from a fight she has had with another cat. She actually look quite adorable in her kitten like way.
Her eyes are wide, and again, like a small kitten's. The color can be considered common, but for her, she finds them unusual, since they are sort of a dark tone. Her dark gray eyes shine with such emotion, it makes them seem like small stars. She has an even darker gray ring around her eyes, which makes them stand out even more. Dark, black skin surrounds her exotic eyes, and compliments them well.
Crosspaw's body is actually small. Even though she is an apprentice, she still has the looks of a kitten, and it often confused with one. Her legs are short, so she is not far from the ground, and it will take some effort to keep up with the taller cats. She is fairly muscular, for her age, but most of it was from trying to train herself. It's more of just fur than her being muscular though. Her fur is light brown, with darker brown strips going across her body. Her fur is long and fluffy, with a feather duster tail completing the look.

This small she-cat has quite the attitude, and doesn't think before she talks. Her replies can be hurtful to others, but she doesn't care. In fact, she is a sadistic young she-cat, and doesn't care who she hurts. Most of the time, though, she doesn't hurt anyone, but she thinks she does. It's best to let her think that so she doesn't throw a fit.
Crosspaw can be very loud when she wants to. Her voice can carry far, and would usually scare away all prey her Clanmates are looking for. She doesn't use it for that though, just so you know. She's just naturally loud, so she can't help it. You could probably hear her from a mile away, though there are sometimes when she is actually quiet.
This young apprentice doesn't always think that the best thing is going to happen. In fact, she think the opposite of that. She's pessimistic, and always thinks the worst is going to come. This can be annoying to her Clanmates when she mutters this aloud, but, again, Crosspaw does not care.
Crosspaw is has a very short-fuse. She'll blow up over the smallest things, which is unfortunate for both her and her Clanmates. Her temper she gets from her father, Snakeheart, so she blames him for whenever she goes off.

K I T H O O DCrosspaw was born in Leaf-fall, the time when all cats started to prepare for the up-coming Leaf-bare. Her mother hadn't meant to become heavy with kits this early, and was fretting over the unborn children in her swollen belly. Her mother woke up in the middle of the night, panting heavily from a nightmare she had. She felt a kick in her belly, and licked her ruffled fur, a warm feeling coming over her.
Now, Crosspaw's father hadn't wanted kits. He thought they were noisy and freaks of nature, even if he had been one not long before. He loved his mate, Goldenfire, but he resented the fact that she was having kits. But when he heard her scream in pain, he rushed to her side, calling for the medicine cat.
When Crosspaw and her brother Tigerpaw were born, Goldenfire was excited, but her kits had been born early and weak. Goldenfire herself lost a lot of blood, but it wasn't enough to be fatal. Her mate, Snakeheart, felt nothing for his kits, but was worried sick about his mate. He did glance over them, and his eyes stopped on the tom. Tigerpaw was apparently born a fighter, since he was already struggling to suckle his mother. Snakeheart instantly fell in love with the kit.
When the kits were old enough to eat meat, their mother grew sick. She died after a week of an unknown cause. Snakeheart blamed his daughter, Crosskit, since she had been the last one out, and it had taken work to get her out. She was the reason for so much blood. Or at least her father said so. Tigerpaw, since his father was his role model, believed everything Snakeheart said, and therefore also blamed his sister.
Crosskit became what she called 'an outcast.' The whole Clan didn’t hate her, but being hated by your own family sort of makes you feel like you’re alone. Her father and brother hated her, but at least she knew her mother loved her. She hated that she had a resemblance to her father, and a little self-hatred bloomed in her heart. She was the reason her mother was dead after all, right?
A P P R E N T I C E S H I PWhen Crosspaw and Tigerpaw were apprenticed, their father only cheered out Tigerpaw's name. Crosspaw, even though she hated her father, felt a stab of hurt go through her. Why couldn't her own father love her like he did her brother? It wasn't fair!

the beast
and the harlot--------------------------------------------------
this shining city built of goldCrosspaw had just entered the camp, her light brown fur shining in the sunlight. So what if she had went out of camp unnoticed? It wasn't like anyone would care. She only had a few select friends, and besides, she only wanted to have a little fun. She hadn't eaten anything; in fact, there was barely anything out there anyway. No one would probably even think twice about her appearing out of what would seem like nowhere. She let a smirk pull at her lips, remembering the gathering. She was glad that Briarstar hadn't voiced his choice yet, and that he had decided to wait for his Clan before making a decision. There must be others like me who don't want this! She thought this was true enough, but then again, she was the only one who thought like she did. She did not have a twin, nor did she have any siblings that were alive, except Tigerpaw, and her father, but she didn't consider them family, just like they ignored her.
She felt a low growl rise up in her throat thinking about Tigerpaw. She hated him, no matter what that would never, ever change. Not in a million moons. Her eyes narrowed, and she imagined her brother, his face prideful and mocking as he glared at her. Oh, how she would love to take him down a few notches, even if her father would reprimand her for it. She stifled a dark laugh, that would have surely made the Clan look at her like she was raving mad. Crosspaw didn't give a rat's tail about what her father thought, and what he would try to do to her. Maybe a good fight would get the pent up anger out of her system, and besides, it wouldn't look too good if they went off together and she came back with injuries. Then again, her father would end up having some wounds of his own. She thought for a moment, wondering how her father was still even in this Clan. Probably because of the 'I'm a good guy' acts he pulled, along with Tigerpaw.
a far cry from innocence
She snorted, audibly this time, walking towards rockpile where her leader was standing. Finally, the time to decide was upon them, and she already knew her answer and would voice it without a doubt. First, though, she would listen to some of her other Clanmates. She caught Fadedheart, Briarstar's mate, chatting with Shadowpaw, a fellow apprentice. She rolled her eyes, since he always seemed so polite. It didn't hurt to be rude once in awhile, and some cats deserved it too! She tuned in to their conversation, and once again let a smirk grace her maw. So she was thinking about the Creed, eh? We can take the Creed any day! At least that's what she thought. She took notice of how Sorrowheart's eyes were swollen. Probably crying again, she thought, not feeling the least bit of pity. Showing emotion was a weakness. Then again, the only emotions that could be considered weak were sadness, pity, love, loneliness, and fear.
"At the gathering last night an apprentice from another Clan stated that all the Clans join together against the Creed. All of them agreed but I did not feel it was my place to make such a decision on my own." Briarstar had begun to speak. Crosspaw sat down, waiting impatiently for her leader to continue. "If you say yes this means we as SkyClan will join together with RiverClan, ThunderClan, ShadowClan, and WindClan." he had waited a moment before choosing his words. Seeing what would appeal to his Clan, I guess. "If this is what you want let it be so now. Speak now SkyClan." He was letting them decide now! Crosspaw let the others speak before her, wanting to know what they thought. She didn't want the Clans to join up, and was hoping someone would agree with her. Then again, knowing her luck, no one would probably agree with her, especially her so-called family.
there's more than meets the eye 'round here
She watched Sorrowheart look up at her leader, her face a strong mask as she spoke. "Briarstar, you must join with them. My father would know that the minute we found out about the creed. You were his apprentice, there for you should have known that as well..." Now she's bringing her father into this. Her father is dead, and Briarstar is Briarstar. He is not a copy of Rontustar! Crosspaw once again snorted, smirk leaving her lips in place of a frown. What were cats thinking these days. Then again, she shouldn't be saying anything because she was most likely crazier than all of them. Of course, Shadowpaw was nodding his approval. Since she was so rude, she had the urge to shout out 'follower,' but resisted it. That would make her opinion not look too good, now would it. "Rontustar was wise and he made skyclan stronger then it ever was... If we wish to keep it that way we must join with the other clans." Now he was going to add something about Rontustar. That was just great.
The light brown she-cat let her light gray eyes rest on her leader, thinking over what she was about to say. She wanted to choose her words wisely, so she could appeal to the Clan. She wanted others to agree with her, not put her down like her father and brother. Who cares if she made a mistake now, her brother and father obviously though it was her fault her mother was dead, so it couldn't get worse, now could it? "Briarstar, I have a different view on this." she started, hesitant at first because she was speaking in front of so many other cats in her Clan. "Are we that weak that we need to join up with other Clans, just to stop one group of mangy, flea-bitten cats? I don't really think there is a need for us all to join up, since SkyClan is perfectly capable of caring for ourselves. We haven't even been attacked by the Creed yet anyway, and our warriors are strong, so do we really need the extra help?"
She ended her little speech with a question, wondering how he would answer it. She thought she had done well in the long run, and hopefully she had appealed to others. SkyClan was strong, and did not need help, or at least she thought so.
